Baemin — Step by Step

Order in 10 minutes. No account. No Korean number.

1
Download Baemin and switch to English
Search "Baemin" or "배달의민족" in App Store / Google Play.
Switch language: Phone System Settings → Apps → Baemin → Language → English.
(Not in-app settings — it's at the OS level.)
2
Get your Korean address
Go to juso.go.kr (Korea's official address portal). Search your hotel or Airbnb name in English. Copy the Korean address (도로명 주소) that appears. Paste it into the Baemin address bar.
Alternative: Ask your hotel front desk for the exact Korean address.
3
Browse by category and add items to cart
Main categories in English: Chicken, Pizza, Korean Food, Chinese Food, Burgers, Sushi, Convenience Food.
Most popular: Chicken (치킨) is the national delivery food — fried chicken combos for ₩18,000–₩25,000.
Check minimum order amount shown under the restaurant name before ordering.
4
Close the login popup → guest checkout
When you tap the Order button, a login popup appears. This is the step most foreigners give up at.
Solution: tap the X (close button) in the top corner of the popup.
This skips login and proceeds directly to guest checkout. You do not need a Baemin account.
5
Select "Foreign Card" as payment method
In the order summary screen, scroll to Payment Method.
Tap 기타 결제수단 (Other Payment Methods).
Tap 해외카드 (Foreign Card / 海外카드).
A NICEPAY popup opens in English: enter card number, expiry, cardholder name (exactly as on card), and email.
6
Track delivery and be ready at the door
Average delivery: 20–40 minutes in Seoul. Real-time rider tracking shown in-app.
When the rider arrives, they call the number you provided or ring the bell. Have your phone ready — some riders won't wait more than 60 seconds. For apartments: you need to know the building's door code. Ask your host or hotel in advance.
Ordering fried chicken (치킨): Korean fried chicken comes in half-chicken (반마리, ~₩10,000) or full-chicken (한마리, ~₩18,000) portions. Combo packs with pickled radish (치킨무) and cola are listed as sets. "양념치킨" = sweet-spicy glazed. "후라이드" = plain fried. Both at once = "반반" (half and half).

Common Failures

FAIL "I can't find the guest checkout option"
Close the login popup — don't scroll past it. When you tap "Order" (주문하기), a full-screen login popup appears. The guest option is to tap the X button in the top-right corner of the popup. This takes you to the payment screen without logging in. If you can't find the X, try swiping the popup down.
FAIL "The minimum order amount isn't met"
Most Korean delivery restaurants require ₩12,000–₩15,000 minimum before they'll accept an order. This is the subtotal before delivery fee. If your cart is below the minimum, add sides (음료 = drink, 공기밥 = rice) to reach the threshold.
FAIL "Foreign card rejected on Coupang Eats"
If you're on Android: this is a known bug. The Android version of Coupang Eats uses a domestic payment gateway that rejects foreign cards. Use Baemin instead — it fully supports foreign cards. If you're on iOS and still getting rejected: your card's international transactions may be blocked — check with your bank.
FAIL "Delivery failed / rider couldn't reach me"
Korean apartment buildings and hotels have locked entrances. Riders call the number you provided when they arrive. If you used a foreign number, make sure your phone is set to receive calls (not DND). For the building entrance code: ask your host or hotel front desk for the "비밀번호" (door code) before ordering. Leave it in the delivery notes field during checkout.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Since May 2024, Baemin allows guest checkout with international credit cards. You don't need a Korean phone number, ARC card, or any Korean account. When you tap Order, a login popup appears — close it with the X button to proceed as a guest. Pay via "Other Payment Methods" → "Foreign Card" (NICEPAY popup in English).
Coupang Eats processes foreign card payments through different gateways on iOS and Android. The iOS payment handler (Apple's in-app purchase framework) accepts international cards reliably. The Android version uses a domestic Korean payment gateway that rejects foreign cards at checkout. This is a known unfixed bug. Android users should use Baemin instead.
Go to juso.go.kr (Korea's official address portal) and search your hotel or accommodation name in English. Copy the Korean address (도로명주소 — the road-name address format) that appears. Paste it into Baemin's address search bar. Alternatively, ask your hotel front desk for the exact Korean delivery address including the building name and room number — delivery riders need Korean-format addresses.
